Business insurance rates to raise difficulties wholesale market premiums
With the opening of several years, two increases in health insurance costs for workers, Lock central Indiana companies are now faced with cracks in other sectors of insurance, including coverage of damage.
In some cases the increases are 30 percent or more and tougher policy features, such as reductions in certain types of coverage or coverage lower borders.
“I would say that 10 percent to 15 percent [increase] would be, given the end,” said Dean Mayfield Mayfield Insurance Inc, an independent agency Mooresville.
Mayfield’s writing staff of an agency, commerce, life and health insurance for a variety of clients, including corporations. Almost without exception, he says, his customers are to see an increase.
“Most [increases] were within 20 - 25 percent,” said Mayfield. “Some have doubled. Some of them have tripled.
Business-owners are not the only ones concerned.
Rates for homeowners and auto insurance are also rising, as the insurance sector, which is a “hardening”.
